But while doing research for the next issue, I came across this video of O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba demonstrating Aikido (which he created) and I thought it was too beautiful to keep to myself.
What is great about this video is how his sense of humor comes across without even saying a word.
The first video that comes up when you search for "Aikido" in youtube is incredible... just fyi!

Aikido is pretty rad, that's what Zane trains in. Zane says that apparently aikido is based on swordfighting so most of the moves originated from swordfighting.
I train in hapkido, which is kind of like if aikido and tae kwon do had a baby. I've heard that hapkido and aikido originate from the same place but over the generations, different teachers added or took away various things until both arts got to where they are today.
The best part about aikido is the big pants worn by the senior students. Zane calls them "fancypants."
